So what's been happening in the last week or so. Quite a lot! I've also put in some images of the new stuff we are stocking below, make the blog look a little more lively and not just a boring wall of text (although it is rather long).
Our small Army Painter order arrived, covering the basics of starter brushes, tools, paints, their great shading inks (Quick Shade) and some basing kits. As time goes on I hope to expand on their range. In the meantime I am looking at stealing a pack of their Wargamers Most Wanted Brush set.
Also ordered was almost the complete range of Warlord Scenics, these include a number of different basing materials, flocks, rubble etc as well as a fairly large selection of their tufts which are self adhesive. The full range we stock is below, I hope to get these on the shops by Monday the 20th but if I don't and you need anything just drop us an email using the contact me page.
This week sees the release of Warlord Games new Beyond the Gates of Antares supplement "The Battle For Xilos". This is their first expansion of the game released in December 2015 and features a new campaign of six missions, army lists and more once again written by Rick Priestly.
Warlord sent me a sample of the Antares starter set with my first order and to be honest I was very impressed with the quality of the game. I have never seen such a full box of stuff in a Wargame starter set.
Reading the rules has been great, although I am less than a half way through the book (you get a full size, hardback rule book with the starter set) it feels like reading the original Rogue Trader.
With that being said and being quite pleased by the quality of the sets and figures we are now stocking the Starter Set, starter armies for Concord and Ghar and some basic troops. Hopefully the game will catch on (it should its pretty good) and we will increase the range we stock.
Last but not least, this week sees the release of two new Warhammer 40K Start Collecting boxes; Chaos Space Marines and Militarum Tempestus which offer their usual great value and the Storm Trooper box (so much better writing that) has a rather nice formation rule set. I expect people will be using them quite a bit. Next week we have the Eldar and Dark Eldar coming as well. I will be stocking the individual squads from these so if you want to save some extra money but don't need the whole box get in touch!
One last thing before I bore you to tears, you can purchase anything from our eBay webshop cheaper (including bits) directly from us even though it might not be listed on the shop, just contact us to let us know.
