Just a quick update for those waiting for orders to arrive from the weekend beginning 24th of June. Unfortunately I've had a few issues with sourcing packaging the first issue was an order paid by Paypal failed even though it said it had gone through this resulted in me waiting for supplies to arrive that were not actually ordered.
The second issue is that two of my suppliers have discontinued key items. I've sourced alternatives now and gone for expedited shipping but best case scenario I won't be able to start until Wednesday. Worst case is Thursday and Friday. Generally I allow two working days from point of order to get items out, a large number do go out next day depending on order times, so there is a delay here.
On the bright side I've got 8 large boxes of stock with some new lines from Spartan Games, Games Workshop (bits), Prodos and Flames of War that I've not been able to get listed so I will work to get those on my eBay shop or webshop.
I've recently been shopping and picked myself up an Ultrasonic cleaner to help strip miniatures. I was so impressed I sent it back and purchased a cleaner 4 times the size.
So far I've stripped over 100 miniatures and around 9 40k tanks. I kinda got the paint stripping bug. I'll have a review soon including some of my failures, heating dettol to 40+ degrees C melts plastic miniatures, who knew?!?
I'll also be getting a parts washer to help stage 2 of the stripping, the plan was not only to help me save money for my own collections but to increase how many things I sell on in the second hand market.
I've decided to increase the Battlefront sale until the end of May. An extra 10% off all Battlefront products including Flames of War late and mid ranges, Battlefield in a Box and Team Yankee. You can also use the code FOW10 on my shop at the coupon box during checkout.
Can I use this on preorders?
You certainly can, if there is something not on my store yet but out shortly let me know and I'll get it up on the store for you.
The Battlefront order arrived today and included the following:
Also a small British Team Yankee restock. These are up on eBay already, I will try to get them over the weekend on the shop.
Coming in soon is a new range of products from Mantic, at the moment I stock The Walking Dead and with placing pledges on the Dungeon Terrain recently have been speaking with Mantic about stocking their other range. This will include the second wave from The Walking Dead as well as some of their other game systems. Starting out with the basics first and then seeing how it goes from there.
In addition the Second Edition of Aliens Vs Predator will be in soon, with a complete restock of their AvP range I've also ordered in a sample of Prodos Games Warzone miniatures game.
In addition I've placed a long overdue stock order with Spartan, more Halo products due in soon as well as a sample selection from their Spartan Scenics range.
Just a quick update of what's arrived today and the last few days:
Operation Sea Lion bundle has arrived with the campaign book and Churchill miniature. This is a fairly large set of miniatures newly added to my catalogue, featuring the Home Guard miniatures as well as the British Expeditionary Force and early German (Blitzkrieg range).
Also in is a restock of the Test of Honour Skirmish game and dice blisters which probably won't last very long. A restock of Konflikt '47 walkers came in too.
All of these are up on eBay at the moment, with the preorders of the upcoming Paras due in June. I should have these up on the website proper tomorrow.
Still waiting for the latest wave to come in with the command cards. The Desert Extra Large Dune and Escarpments are finally here, couple of months late but who is counting?!
El Alamein has sold out again but is back on order.
Breaking the 8th edition is up on eBay for pre-order. GW has announced an extended two week pre-order period starting the 3rd of June this is (hopefully) going to be a good launch, lots of value in the new starter with some pretty neat miniatures.
New washes and effect paints are in, including the following:
Must admit I am really liking the Army Painter range, slowly switching out from Citadel's paints I've found Army Painter paints easier to work with, last longer and kinder on the brushes.
My desertion of Citadel took on a burst of speed last weekend after knocking over a brand new "large" size of Nuln Oil wash bottle on my painting area. After a mad wash session of one tank and 32 infantry I went to pour the left over spill back into the bottle only to knock it over again when the Citadel patented self closing lid sprang shut.
Who thought that was a good idea, lets make the bottle bigger but just taller so it is even more likely to get knocked over. We'll make the lid spring shut seconds after you open it so you are guaranteed to knock it over when you go for it with the brush.
(Citadel rant over)
Just a quick post to show off a Mantic Kickstarter. Mantic's Kickstarter is all about terrain, for your fantasy games like Dungeon Crawlers, RPGs and even tabletop wargames.
There are currently a huge amount of plastic pieces, with more added to the range everyday. Pledges come in three flavours, Dungeon, Battlefield and Town.
I'll be stocking these when they go retail, and I have also pledged for the retail package so will have them in stock when they start shipping. You can find the Kickstarter here!
Just a quick post regarding some of the Version 4 items that are delayed.
The following should be available on the 20th of May:
Desert Escarpments and Dunes may come earlier, still waiting on confirmation although they are in the UK now. The large reversible game mat I've not heard an update on but presumed end of May.
I just received the product briefing this morning so happy to share the new releases for Team Yankee this summer. This release cycle is for the Soviet faction, with both new units and the ability to use the wheeled armoured vehicles released for the East Germans.
Something that is also great is they have redone the Soviet infantry in plastics, Team Yankee has proven to be a great success so hopefully we will see them follow suit with the other sets soon. Potecknov's Bears is being re-released with the Team Yankee mini-rulebook.
Panzer Command will be stocking the complete range as they come. The release schedule is as follows (please note Battlefront may amend the schedule or items may be delayed):
JULY 2017 RELEASES
EARLY JULY RELEASES
EARLY AUGUST RELEASES
I've been spending some time on the website lately so just a few new things to show off:
Special order is a method of purchasing items. These will usually be items that I don't expect to sell consistently and may be of a higher price.
Basically you purchase the item, I order it in and then dispatch it to you once it arrives. This may take a little extra time as the item will most probably be ordered in with a restock from that supplier or manufacturer. Should the item not be in stock or discontinued I will let you know and refund you as soon as possible.
I don't intend to offer lots of items as a special order on the website, I know of plenty companies who list large swathes of ranges on their site, or eBay that they don't actually stock. So I remain committed to keeping items that are on my shop in stock.
Please note you can still ask for anything that is not on the shop on eBay and I can check if it is available.
Have a good one!
Our recent Version 4 Flames of War stock came in last week, this included the following items:
Also received more of the free version of Flames of War V4 rulebook. I plan to do a bundle offer soon to clear out the Open Fire box sets we have in stock.
The missing scenery from the 4th of March Wave (Escarpments, Large Dunes) are now in the UK and I should have them in soon. The Battlemat is still looking like a late May release.
Also in was a restock from Warlord including:
From Army Painter:
I've not restocked the following in some time and they will be due soon, just clearing out old stock first:
